ASHWAUBENON — Rather than dress blues, these Marines should have been wearing red Santa suits when the shopped Thursday at the Bay Park Square Mall ShopKo.

They were buying presents for the Marine’s annual Toys for Tots program that they will distribute to families through Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin.

WBAY featured the shopping trip on its newscast Thursday evening, Dec. 1, 2016.

Cpl. Erik Cedarquist was among the Marines shopping.

“I know for my mom, it was hard around Christmas,” Cedarquist told the station, “So it’s nice to give back and put a smile on a child’s face. Every child deserves at least a little Christmas, right?”
